I can't say I'm enjoying the surplus of incompetency, here. But I suppose if you have a blizzard-in-a-weasel, the use for an army suddenly isn't very existant, huh?

The Briggs Bears is the name of a famed military group that's apparently tougher than the cold, barren, borderline uninhabitable region that Briggs is actually in. They're tough and very savage on the field.

Amestris is the country that Briggs is in. Briggs is on a far border that most don't care about, or travel to.
